Continued growth has created the need for an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen their senior leadership team.
The Role Contracts Manager
As Contracts Manager, you will take full commercial and operational responsibility for multiple mechanical fit out projects across Dublin. This is a senior leadership role where you will oversee contract performance from pre contract handover through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with senior management, project teams and clients to protect margin, manage risk and ensure programme certainty. Your ability to balance commercial awareness with strong people leadership will directly impact project success and client retention.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
• Promote a strong safety culture across all sites and ensure full compliance with current Health and Safety legislation
• Oversee implementation of company QEHS procedures across projects
• Ensure safe systems of work are in place and actively monitored
Programme and Planning
• Oversee project programmes to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved
• Identify and mitigate risks to programme and commercial performance
• Ensure effective contract handover from estimating to delivery teams
Commercial and Contract Management
• Drive profitability and protect margin across all assigned contracts
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and commercial change processes
• Oversee contract administration, ensuring accurate records of correspondence, variations and approvals
• Provide regular commercial reporting to senior leadership on performance, risks and opportunities
Team and Subcontractor Management
• Lead and support Project Managers and site teams across multiple projects
• Set clear KPIs and performance expectations
• Mentor junior staff and support career progression within the business
• Manage key subcontractor relationships and ensure delivery to agreed standards
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business
• Lead contract progress and review meetings
• Ensure alignment between commercial agreements and operational delivery
About You
• Degree qualified in Engineering or Construction Management
• 10 years plus experience with recognised main contractors or specialist mechanical contractors
• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Director within building services or mechanical fit out
• Strong knowledge of contract structures, commercial terms and risk management
• Experienced in managing variations, claims and final accounts
• Technically competent with strong understanding of mechanical building services including HVAC, plumbing and BMS
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
• Commercially astute with the ability to balance risk, quality and programme
• Full clean Irish driving licence
