M&E Manager – Major Commercial & Residential Projects

Are you an experienced M&E Manager looking to take full ownership of the mechanical and electrical delivery on large, high-profile construction projects in Dublin?

Your new company is a well-established Tier 1 main contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across the Greater Dublin Area.

With several major projects secured for the coming years, they are now looking to strengthen their building services leadership team with an experienced M&E Manager.

This is a senior site-facing role where you will lead the coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover of all mechanical and electrical services, working closely with project directors, site teams, design consultants, and specialist subcontractors.

M&E Manager Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the delivery of all mechanical and electrical services from pre-construction through to final handover
• Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to specification
• Lead M&E coordination across architectural, structural, and services disciplines, resolving clashes and buildability issues
• Chair and manage M&E coordination and progress meetings with subcontractors and consultants
• Monitor site progress against programme and drive recovery actions where required
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all M&E systems
• Ensure all BCAR documentation, O&M manuals, certifications, and as-built records are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across all M&E works in line with company and project requirements
• Support the commercial team by identifying variations, managing change control, and assisting with cost reporting and risk management
• Act as the main point of contact for all M&E-related matters on site

M&E Manager Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a strong trade background with relevant experience)
• Typically 8 years’ experience delivering M&E packages on large commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction projects
• Strong background with a main contractor or large M&E subcontractor
• Proven experience managing multiple M&E subcontractors on complex live sites
• Strong understanding of building services systems, commissioning, and handover processes
• Commercially aware with experience supporting variation and cost control processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work under pressure

The Package:

Salary will be DOE but you can expect  €90,000 plus package.
