Job title: Mechanical Engineer – Building Services
Location: Co Mayo

Package: €50,000 to €65,000 package

A well established mechanical engineering contractor based in Co Mayo, delivering building services, pipework, HVAC, plant room and fabrication projects across Ireland.
The company has a strong workshop and site delivery setup, with in house capability across mechanical services, stainless steel, carbon steel, structural steel and BIM supported design.
The Role: Mechanical Engineer
This Mechanical Engineer role is based in Co Mayo and will suit someone with building services experience who can support design coordination, site works, technical submissions, procurement and project delivery.
You will work closely with project managers, site teams, fabricators, subcontractors and clients to ensure mechanical building services packages are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.
Must Have Requirements
You are a practical Mechanical Engineer with a strong understanding of building services and site delivery. You can read drawings, solve problems, communicate clearly and keep projects moving.
You will suit this role if you enjoy a mix of office, workshop and site coordination, and want to work with a Co Mayo based contractor delivering mechanical engineering projects across Ireland.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have mechanical engineering or building services experience
- Proven experience required on HVAC, pipework, plant rooms or mechanical services projects
- Strong technical understanding of drawings, specifications and site coordination
- Experience working with Irish construction or engineering contractors is required
- Building services project experience preferred
- AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D or BIM experience beneficial
- Experience with prefabrication, stainless steel or process pipework an advantage
- Support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from design through to handover
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and project documentation
- Coordinate with site teams, workshop teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist with procurement of mechanical equipment, materials and specialist packages
- Track progress against programme and highlight technical or delivery issues early
- Support QA/QC, commissioning, snagging and handover documentation
- Maintain strong communication with clients, project managers and internal teams
