Our client is one of Ireland’s most respected Tier 1 main contractors, with a heritage going back to the 1920s and a proven track record delivering landmark projects across Ireland and the UK.
They operate across a broad mix of sectors including commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, logistics, mission-critical/data, and large public works, delivering projects that typically range from €10m to €150m .
Award recognition is a consistent theme for this contractor, with multiple national awards for project delivery, innovation, and safety standards in recent years. With a strong and growing Munster order book, they are now appointing a Project Manager to lead two flagship commercial schemes in Cork City.
The Role – Project Manager
As Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of project delivery from early mobilisation through to handover. You’ll manage programme, design coordination, commercial performance and on-site execution, ensuring both projects are delivered safely, on time and to best-in-class standards.

The Role – Project Manager
As Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of project delivery from early mobilisation through to handover. You’ll manage programme, design coordination, commercial performance and on-site execution, ensuring both projects are delivered safely, on time and to best-in-class standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from set-up to completion and final handover.
- Develop and manage the overall programme, sequencing and logistics strategy.
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure timely, buildable information release.
- Chair design, subcontractor and client coordination meetings.
- Drive site delivery through strong team leadership, planning and communication.
- Implement project controls including progress tracking, reporting and risk management.
- Work closely with commercial teams on cost control, forecasting and value engineering.
- Manage procurement of subcontractors and key material packages.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Act as the primary client-facing lead, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Mentor and develop engineers, site managers and support staff to build a high-performing delivery culture.
About You
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years’ Project Management experience with a main contractor.
- Proven track record delivering commercial projects in the €10m–€150m range.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern construction methods and Irish building regulations.
- Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, procurement and programme risk.
- Confident leader who can coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive performance under pressure.
- Excellent communication and client-management skills.
