As Regional EHS Manager, you will play a key leadership role in shaping safety standards across major projects in Connacht and beyond.

The Role Regional EHS Manager

As Regional EHS Manager, you will lead Environmental, Health and Safety operations across multiple large scale engineering and construction projects. Reporting to the Senior EHS Manager, you will provide strategic direction while maintaining strong operational oversight of site based EHS teams.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for embedding a proactive safety culture, driving compliance across complex mechanical and electrical projects, and ensuring risk management strategies are fully integrated into daily operations. You will oversee EHS Leads, Senior Advisors and Advisors while acting as the escalation point for high risk issues across your region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic EHS leadership across multiple data centre, pharmaceutical and industrial projects
• Lead, mentor and support EHS Leads and Advisors to ensure consistent application of company standards
• Drive the Zero Harm programme and continuous safety improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Irish, UK and EU safety legislation, company Safety Statements and client requirements
• Oversee audits, site inspections and compliance assessments across all assigned projects
• Lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented
• Standardise EHS procedures, documentation and reporting across business units
• Review and analyse monthly KPI reports including behavioural safety data and compliance metrics
• Manage contractor safety compliance, competency approvals and performance monitoring
• Develop strong relationships with clients, statutory authorities and supply chain partners
• Oversee emergency preparedness planning, including first aid, PPE compliance and emergency response protocols
• Identify training needs and oversee delivery of EHS training, inductions and toolbox talks
• Promote continuous professional development within regional EHS teams

About You

• Degree qualified in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or a related discipline
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Minimum five years progressive EHS management experience within mechanical, electrical or construction environments
• Strong knowledge of Irish, UK and EU EHS legislation and regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience managing EHS across multiple large scale projects
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and site teams
• Excellent communication, reporting and analytical skills
• Experience implementing corporate EHS strategies that deliver measurable improvements
• Comfortable travelling between project sites as required
• Proactive, decisive and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards
