This established building services contractor delivers large-scale mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

Operating across the data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare, logistics, commercial, and energy sectors, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of European data centre projects, they are now seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their Frankfurt-based delivery team.

The Role: Senior Electrical Project Engineer

The Senior Electrical Project Engineer will support the successful delivery of electrical packages on large-scale data centre projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Design Teams, Consultants, and Subcontractors, you will coordinate technical information, manage project documentation, monitor installation progress, and ensure all electrical works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements.

This role is ideally suited to an Electrical Project Engineer with experience delivering data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, or large-scale M&E projects who is looking to progress within a leading international contractor.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Must have 5 years' experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems and project delivery processes is required.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams is essential.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and technical coordination skills are required.

Preferred Experience

• Data centre project experience preferred.
• Experience managing RFIs, technical submittals, and project documentation beneficial.
• Knowledge of commissioning, testing, and project handover processes advantageous.
• Experience using MS Project, AutoCAD, and document management systems preferred.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of BIM and digital construction platforms.
• Experience working on Design & Build projects.
• Understanding of procurement and commercial management processes.
• Previous experience on European construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Become fully familiar with project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Manage technical submittals and coordinate approval processes with consultants and design teams.
• Raise and manage RFIs while maintaining accurate RFI registers.
• Coordinate with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Design Teams on project progress and delivery.
• Monitor long lead equipment procurement and delivery schedules.
• Ensure the latest drawing revisions are issued and used on site.
• Review and issue redline drawings and as-built information.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
• Support commercial teams with variations, procurement activities, and change management documentation.
• Manage project correspondence and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with all building regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Support commissioning activities and project handover processes.
• Compile operation and maintenance manuals and close-out documentation.
• Maintain project information within company document management systems.

• You are an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a strong technical understanding of building services installations and project delivery.
• You are organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• You enjoy working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients and take pride in helping deliver complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
