The Role – Site Supervisor / Site Agent
As a Site Supervisor or Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for the day to day management of civil engineering works across water and utilities projects.
Working on water mains, rehabilitation, public roadworks and associated groundworks, you will coordinate crews and subcontractors, ensure programme targets are met and maintain high standards of safety and quality across each site.
This role suits an experienced civil engineering professional who understands utilities, underground services and public infrastructure delivery and can drive performance on site while maintaining strong communication with management and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing daily site operations on water and civil engineering projects
• Coordinating direct labour and subcontractors to meet programme deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company HSQE systems
• Supervising civil works including trenching, pipe laying, reinstatement and roadworks
• Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet specification
• Managing site documentation including labour time sheets, delivery dockets and supplier records
• Liaising with local authorities, utility providers and project stakeholders
• Identifying and resolving on site issues to maintain programme and productivity
About You
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Agent or similar role within civil engineering
• Strong background in water infrastructure, utilities or public roadworks projects
• Experience managing groundworks and underground services
• Location of Underground Services training completed
• Signing, Lighting and Guarding tickets
• Managing Safely in Construction, First Aid and CIF training desirable
• Full Irish driving licence
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Focused on delivering quality work safely and on programme
